“Mendicants, an individual with two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there. What two? Excellent conduct and excellent view. An individual with these two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there.” The Buddha spoke this matter. On this it is said:

with excellentbhaddikāya andca with viewsdiṭṭhiyā;
with theseEtehi with twodvīhi with qualitiesdhammehi,
whoyo possessedsamannāgato personnaro;
of the bodyKāyassa with breaking upbhedā wisesappañño,
to heavensaggaṁ that oneso is rebornupapajjatī”ti.

“If a person possesses these two qualities— excellent conduct and excellent views— when their body breaks up, that wise person is reborn in heaven.”
