Namo tassa Bhagavato Arahato Sammāsambuddhassa.

Homage to him, the blessed one, the perfected one, the fully awakened Buddha!

Buddhaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
Dhammaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
Saṅghaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi.

I take refuge in the Buddha, I take refuge in the Teaching, I take refuge in the Saṅgha.

Dutiyampi buddhaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
Dutiyampi dhammaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
Dutiyampi saṅghaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi.

For the second time I take refuge in the Buddha, for the second time I take refuge in the Teaching, for the second time I take refuge in the Saṅgha.

Tatiyampi buddhaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
Tatiyampi dhammaṁ saraṇaṁ gacchāmi,
