pr 3rd sg of garahati (verb)
Etymology. Root √ghar (to blame, censure). Related to Sanskrit gharati and Indo-European *gʰer- (to grasp, grip), which developed in some languages the sense of grasping something against someone—hence blame or censure. The semantic development from physical grasping to verbal condemnation is characteristic of accusatory language across Indo-European.
