sandhi contraction
Analysis. Contracted form of idha + ekacce (here + some/a certain portion), with the initial vowel of idha elided and m prefixed as a euphonic buffer. The m- is a sandhi phenomenon common before vowels in rapid speech.
Etymology. idha from Proto-Indo-European *i-dhe (here, this place; compare English there, Latin ibi); ekacce from eka (one) + acce (portion, part), ultimately from PIE *oiko- (one, single).
