imp 2nd sg of suṇoti (verb)
Etymology. From √su (to hear), cognate with Sanskrit śṛṇoti, Greek akoúō (hear), Latin sentīre (perceive, feel), Germanic *swinþ-. The root is ancient Indo-European *swenh₂- (to resound, be heard). The prefix su- (well, good) in some derivatives like susūsuka (eager to hear) shows the positive sense of listening attentively.
