himTamenaṁ, monksbhikkhave, wardens of hellnirayapālā in the Great Hellmahāniraye tosspakkhipanti.

four-corneredCatukkaṇṇo four-dooredcatudvāro,
dividedvibhatto section by sectionbhāgaso measuredmito;
surrounded by an iron wallAyopākārapariyanto,
with ironayasā roofedpaṭikujjito.
of itTassa made of ironayomayā the groundbhūmi,
burningjalitā with firetejasā endowedyutā;
all aroundSamantā a hundred leaguesyojanasataṁ,
