hereIdha moreover Ipanāhaṁ, Sāriputtasāriputta, a certainekaccaṁ individualpuggalaṁ thusevaṁ with mindcetasā mindceto having encompassedparicca I understandpajānāmi—

thenAtha a personpuriso would comeāgaccheyya scorched by heatghammābhitatto overcome by heatghammapareto wearykilanto thirstytasito parchedpipāsito by a one-wayekāyanena pathmaggena to that verytameva treerukkhaṁ heading forpaṇidhāya.
himTamenaṁ clear-eyedcakkhumā a personpuriso having seendisvā thusevaṁ would sayvadeyya:
in such a way this‘tathāyaṁ goodbhavaṁ personpuriso practicingpaṭipanno sotathā andca behavesiriyati and thattañca pathmaggaṁ has mountedsamārūḷho, thatyathā to this veryimameva treerukkhaṁ will arrive (quote)āgamissatī’ti.
